Inciting Sidekicks

That's something I thought about while playing Jak II. I was all "Daaaamn |D.... They've started their adventures just because Daxter was turned into an ottsel |D ! And here I'm fighting against an evil Baron in a futuristic city |D ! No related at all !".
And I also thought (yeah it happens) about the fact Ratchet can travel now because he has met Clank. If he hasn't met him, Ratchet would have been just welding stuffs and that would be all |D !
If Daxter wasn't turned into an ottsel when him and Jak had come back for Misty Island.... well I guess Samos would have scolded them but there wouldn't be an excuse to go to the Northern part of the country. Maybe there would have been something else happening, but much, much, much later because there wasn't any inciting force to the plot.
In fact, Daxter and Clank are opposites. But if there was one thing they have in common, that's it : they are both sidekicks heavily related to the inciting forces of their adventures with their partners.

C'est une chose dont je me suis fait la remarque en jouant à Jak II. Je m'étais dit "Ah bah putain |D.... Dire qu'ils sont partis à l'aventure à cause de Dax en fait |D ! Et là je suis en train de maraver un Baron maléfique dans une ville du futur |D ! Aucun lien quoi !".
Puis j'ai réfléchi (ça m'arrive) au fait que Ratchet, s'il peut voyager maintenant, c'est grâce à Clank. S'il ne l'avait pas rencontré, Ratchet serait peut être encore en train de souder des trucs dans son coin |D. 
Si Daxter n'avait pas été transformé en beloutre lorsque lui et Jak revenaient de l'île de la brume... bah je suppose que Samos les aurait engueulés mais il n'y aurait pas eu de prétexte pour aller vers le Nord (chez moi |D *out*). Il y aurait peut être eu quelque chose, mais ça aurait sûrement été retardé compte tenu du fait que.... il n'y a pas eu d'élément déclencheur.
En bref, Daxter et Clank sont des opposés, ça c'est clair. Cependant, ils ont ça en commun : ils sont des sidekicks liés aux éléments déclencheurs qui ont introduit leurs aventures avec leurs partenaires.
